BrijBooti Suranjan Mithi (Sweet Suranjan – Colchicum Luteum / Tulipa Clusiana Luteum) is a traditional Ayurvedic herb that is considered important in Ayurveda, especially for joint and Vata-related concerns. Suranjan is mainly of two types—Sweet Suranjan (Mithi) and Bitter Suranjan. In Ayurvedic practice, Sweet Suranjan is regarded as comparatively safer and has been traditionally used after proper purification and in controlled quantity.
According to Ayurvedic belief, Suranjan Mithi is considered Vata-pacifying and anti-inflammatory in nature. It has been traditionally used to support conditions like joint pain, arthritis, swelling, and muscle stiffness. In classical Ayurvedic practice, it is usually combined with other herbs and formulations so that its action remains balanced and safe. It is also believed to be helpful in managing concerns related to uric acid when used under expert supervision.
Suranjan is always used in very small and carefully controlled doses. Ayurveda does not recommend taking it as a general home remedy. Traditionally, it has been prescribed only by qualified Ayurvedic practitioners along with proper adjuvants (anupan). Incorrect or excessive use can have strong adverse effects on the body.
BrijBooti Suranjan Mithi is provided in its natural form, but it is not an ordinary household herb; it is a sensitive medicinal substance that requires extreme caution in use.
